Chipset manufacturer Qualcomm has confirmed that its upcoming flagship mobile processor will come with a system-on-chip built on 7nm process node. The company has also started sampling of its upcoming chipset with multiple smartphone makers working on their next generation smartphones. The company claims that the SoC will be power-efficient and will offer AI support. The processor will also offer better battery life and performance.
The next generation Qualcomm processor is also said to power 5G mobile hotspots by the end of 2018 and the smartphones powered by the chipset are expected to launch in the first half of 2019. As per reports, the company may reveal more details about the chipset by Q4 2018.
